How to make five easy crochet snowflakes – Free Patterns by Avyastore.com
Snowflakes are among my favourite subjects to crochet, partly because real snowflakes are so lovely, and partly because crochet is a beautiful medium for creating snowflake shapes. The stitches build on one another just as tiny ice crystals do, and the finished pieces are as beautiful, graceful and varied as their frosty counterparts. Below few designs will capture that beauty, grace and variety. Hoping these designs will provide both novice and experienced crocheters with few hours of inspiration and enjoyment.

Blocking and Stiffening the Snowflakes.
Use cardboard, cover with wax paper. Make a home-based fabric stiffener (take equal quantities of water and glue, mix well) dip each of the snowflakes and lay flatly on the board, stretch the snowflakes and fit on the board using the pins. Remember to pin each picot of the Snowflakes to get better results. Allow sun drying.
