Pattern Stitches for Irish Touch Motif:
Popcorn (pc): Ch 3 (counts as dc), 4 dc in same st or sp, drop loop from hook, insert hook in the 3rd ch of beg ch-3, pick up the dropped loop and draw through.

Starting at centre, ch 8, sl st forming a ring.
Round 1
12 sc in ring. Sl st in 1st sc made.
Round 2
Ch 6, skip 1 sc, * dc in next sc, ch 3. Repeat from *around. Sl st in 3rd st of ch-6 first made (6 sps).
Round 3
In each ch-3 sp around, make sc, half dc, 5 dc, half dc, and sc (6 petals).
Round 4
*Ch 5, sc in next dc between petals (working from behind pet in 3rd st of ch-6 on 2nd tals). Repeat from *around, ending with ch 5, sl s in 3rd st of ch-6 on 2nd round.
Round 5
In each ch-5 loop around make sc, half dc, dc, 5 tr, sc, half dc and sc (6 large petals).

Sl st to centre st of next petal, ch 6, dc in the same place as last sl st, *ch 5, dc between petals, ch 5 in centre st of next petal, make dc, ch 3 and dc, Repeat from * around, ending with ch 5, sl st to 3rd st of ch-6 first made.
